I looked into the mirror today and I don’t pass at all. I don’t know if it’s my red hair or the fact you can see the womanly figure through my baggy clothes. It’s making me upset and distraught and I wanna go home and curl up.

My therapist said he could write me a letter of recommendation and also gave me the name and number of the surgeon who is doing his top surgery. I’d say if you’re seeing a therapist ask him/her. If you aren’t then maybe look for one in your area who can give a little bit more insight. If you go to University a lot of their counseling is free and really discreet. If you come off of anon, or I suppose you don’t have to I can post it on my Tumblr, I can give you some sites he gave me that have Trans* friendly surgeons. I’ve never heard having to have T for a year before surgery though. I just always thought it was a preference for most guys.
